What is Bruise Treatment?
While the results from the treatments we offer at Exclusively Faces Cosmetic Surgery and Medispa undeniably leave you with stunning results, the recovery period can oftentimes include redness and bruising. Double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Karen tries to be very transparent on what you can expect while you recover from your treatment — and, of course, the level of recovery and side effects will vary, depending on the severity of treatment. Although these side effects and bruising will disappear within time, we want you to feel comfortable in your body during this healing time, which is why we offer bruising treatments and tips for optimal healing at our Peachtree City/Newnan Georgia office.

What Can I Expect From Bruise Treatment?
With most procedures at Exclusively Faces Cosmetic Surgery and Medispa, bruising is a side effect. In some cases, bruising can be covered up by makeup or clothing; however, in some cases, you're left with a bruise that can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. There are a few things we can do to help reduce your bruising. If you're looking for ways to reduce bruising, Dr. Karen suggests you:
- Get plenty of rest
- Drink lots of water
- Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol
- Use ice packs
- Promote circulation by taking walks as approved by Dr. Karen
- Avoid strenuous activity
- Elevate the treatment area
